Sam Snead`s Oak Grill and Tavern in Orlando

Very large portions, great food and flavors it is popular so it is very loud in there. Seems like everyone is talking louder to talk over everyone else. Great food though

Went for my husband's birthday and so glad we did. Everything was delicious and service was amazing. My husband had the panko crusted salmon, with wedge salad that had amazing grapefruit vinagrette dressing, delish! I had their 10 oz prime rib, so flavorful. Dave, the chef came out to talk with us and we learned a lot about how they hand cut their meats and cook everything from scratch, it shows!! Mason our waiter was attentive and also amazing. Don't forget to ask for their fresh sourdough rolls, again delish! Dave comped us 2 desserts. For my husband their awesome bread pudding, served with vanilla ice cream and a bourbon sauce, and for me their key lime pie, slightly tart and also amazingly delicious. We live in MetroWest and told Dave how much we miss them since they left our community but Maitland is not that far so we will see you again soon! Love Sam Sneads!!!

The chicken quesadillas were awesome. Prompt service and great decor. Also nicely priced. Will definitely return!

My husband and I celebrated our 22 year anniversary here. The experience was amazing. We had our usual server Jenn, but there seemed to be a team effort to make our night special by everyone in the restaurant. We have never had an experience like that anywhere else. I wanted to mention Sara; though she didn't serve us last night she has served us in the past. She has a really positive attitude and is always there when you need her. Last night though we were able to see all of our favorite people from Bree to Jenn to Desiree and Sara. We also spoke to the manager Matt who seems to be the nicest person. We will return like we always do. I just wanted to thank everyone that made my night special.

I’ve been eating here for lunch, dinner, business meetings, and more, for the last 2 years and they always go above and beyond! There is not another restaurant around that will treat you & serve you like Sam Sneads!

Excellent food and service as always!

Sat at the bar and was waited on right away. Then went downhill fast. The barvgot busy and the bartender was by himself and in addition to working the bar had to make server drinks too. I ordered the crab and artichoke dip and waited all of 30 minutes to get. The dip was runny and had about 2 pieces of crab and artichoke. Waited a long time to be offered a second drink. I have been here many times and this was by far the worst. Not sure if I will go back..

Sam Snead's always has quality food. It's a bit pricey but you don't come here for cheap food. This is one of my preferred go-to places when a vendor offered to buy lunch. We were a group of 6 and each of us ordered something different. No one in the group had anything but good to say about their meal.

Sam Snead's is one of those few restaurants that I would describe as a "Best Kept Secret" place for lunch or dinner, and the people who know about it, treasure it. It is a great spot for meeting up with friends or business associates. They have delicious food and the decor gives the place a warm and friendly charm.

Upscale taste and service, while at the same time suitable for families and casual attire. I've eaten at many fine Steakhouses in Central Florida, in my opinion, Sam Snead's equals or exceeds them, especially for the price. The seared ahi tuna is fantastic and the fillets are very tender and flavorful.

The food is usually far above par and of great quality. We have been coming here for years and had only 1 bad experience. The atmosphere is unique and comfortable. Selection is great.

My wife and I were passing through and ate dinner here. What a great restaurant! Our steaks and scallops were cooked perfectly and they had a great beer selection including local selections. Out server, Jasmine, was friendly and did a great job!

Absolutely incredible in every way. You cant go wrong with Snead's. The staff are amazing and the food is just phenomenal. Our favorite appetizer are the niblets. If BBQ is your thing. These deep fried snacks are to die for and the french onion is delicious.

Love this place! Yes, It's bar food but consistently good! Portions are adequate but not huge so if you're hungry order an appetizer. I usually sit at the bar and Robert and Thomas are excellent and always seem to know a little about everything haha! Always a good time!

The best place in the world hands-down the food was amazing very fresh and the servers are very kind and attentive thanks Jesse very good job staff as well Cooks everybody was amazing and I would recommend anyone going there.

This is a great restaurant! One of our favorites so we go there often. The food has always been exceptional and the service even better. All the staff is wonderful and they put forth the effort to ensure each time there is memorable.

This place is low key and classy, like the man that it's named after. Lots of wood and golf decor (of course) and not overly loud even in the thick of happy hour. The food is well prepared and a bit creative without being ostentatious. The service is attentive enough, but not overbearing. Good place for business lunches. Definitely a more upscale alternative to the nearby American-style chain restaurant.Updating to go to 5 stars. I've been here several more times and this really is a great place. Please please please go see Kelly or Roland at the bar; they are fantastic and will take good care of you. And, they are about to add Guinness and Cigar City Maduro to their beers on tap.

There was no one at the hostess stand. The menu we're old looking. They were short staffed. Not prepared for so many people to show up on a Monday night. They put mashed potatoes in my scalloped potatoes and my steak was well done. Not what I asked for.

Love this place, off the main areas but serves high quality food and service in a traditional steak house atmosphere, with a lighter sports bar. Great food and great for takeout.

O-K tavern and grill in Maitland. Not great food, but not that bad either. The service the night I was there was a little slow. But not a bad place for a quick lunch or dinner.

Had some mixed experiences lately with the food. The last two visits with my family, the staff were fantastic, but the food was so so. Each time I got their ribs, which I love in general, however these were dry making them hard to enjoy. I appreciate the hard work of the cooks and staff so I do not like to send food back. I would like the food to rival the great service we always recieve.

Excellent service and everything I've tried here had been delicious. My favorite are the chicken tenderloins. They are amazing!!!

Surprising good food in an a bit mundane atmosphere. Was seated near the bar and had a nice cosmopolitan to drink. The baby back ribs were not fall off the bone, but still really good. The coconut creme pie had a bit to much whip cream, but was still a nice ending to the meal. Service was very good and attentive. Overall, will recommend and eat there again.

Their meatloaf special is the best around! The staff is friendly and service top notch.

We used to love going to Sam Snead's. However the last three times we have been; the food wasn't properly cooked (Twice), the last time my steak was raw (I ordered it medium), this last time is the last time we will ever go back! I ordered a Cobb salad to go that my husband and I would share later. My husband is a strict vegetarian. I ordered the salad with anything vegetable left on the salad and anything non vegetable on the side. The salad was loaded with cheese, bleu cheese, guacamole, etc. The only things on the side were the egg, bacon and chicken. We ended up throwing the entire salad away! I guess that the kitchen people are not adequately trained to know the difference between cheese and a vegetable, or how to properly cook steak? There are too many restaurants that have pride in their food to put up with this waste of my money! This was the final straw! This place was a favorite since they opened but in the last year it has gone downhill with both food and service!

Incredably good, far exceeded expectations. Everything we had was 5 stars. Wish that we had one at home. Hint: anything oakwood cooked the bomb. Homemade sauces and dressings are spoon eatable by themselves!

What once was my favorite restaurant in Orlando, became a sad joke. Order after order botched for pickup, horribly overcooked niblicks, not putting 2/4 orders in the bag and saying everything is there, making excuses for botched pickups like “I’m sorry the place is packed” when I was just there and exactly 1 table was filled. Maybe their pickup experience isolated is truly the only issue, but in the days of coronavirus pickup is all that matters and Sam Sneads fails miserably at it.

An upscale tavern and grill in Maitland with a cozy and elegant atmosphere. The prices are fair and the servings are generous. They have good choices and lunchs specials. Excellent service.

Absolute hands-down best burgers and steaks in the Orlando area. Lime gold? Go see incredible golf photos and autographs in this ace. The million-dollar coffee is unforgettable.

Local tavern and restaurant that attracts more of a older crowd. When I came here, it was super busy. It was raining outside... so ordered the mushroom soup and I have to say it was the most disgusting mushroom soup or any soup 🍲 I’ve had in my life... the bartender was kind enough to remove it from the bill and I ordered the special of the day, the New Orleans style jumbo shrimps... came with bread 🥖, rice 🍚 and beans. The shrimps were amazing... the best I had in Orlando. The bartenders are very nice and personable.

I had the most amazing experience all because of the hostess “Bri”. She greeted me immediately with a smile on her face and asking me about my day (it was a rough one) and she was so considerate and kind and made me laugh. Her amazing service along with the rest of the staff will have me come back again. Best hostess service I’ve ever had

Classy yet casual. Always exceptional food and service. They use an oak grilling technique that imparts that great smoky flavor. And its amazing w the salmon, steaks and burgers.

Crab cakes were the best I have ever had, they could increase the portion size of the fries and Cole slaw. Overall excellent service and food!

Moved out of the area just got back and remembered eating here years ago. Was not disappointed. Restaurant is dog friendly for the covered patio. Good idea to call ahead to be sure they have availability if you are bringing Fido. Service was attentive but not intrusive. We are picky eaters so had a few requests and food exceeded our expectations. All of our requests were executed to perfection. Don't know if that will happen every time but our server Holly and Chef Robert delivered and excellent meal. Burgers are delicious, ribs tasty, tender and fall of the bone. Crab cakes, very yummy and may sound silly, but, coleslaw is light, flavorful and not swimming in dressing. Brought home a helping of bread pudding as I was full. Can't wait to dig into it. Will be making Sam Snead's one of our regular haunts. Thanks for a great meal and awesome experience!

They're really somewhere between a four and a four point five for me. I really Love coming here on an off Friday when everybody else is slammed; and you can sometimes get right in and enjoy yourself thoroughly with a quieter, more demure dining experience.This location's sometimes deplorably busy with expense account traffic, namely for lunch, though, so beware. Exceptionally attentive wait staff. Customer service has always been really rather good and our wait times, even when crowded, haven't been too terribly long. We've even brought the children in a few times without issue from staff or patrons, though they were on their best behavior risk reward.No complaint from the food, everything's always been really very good. Even the burgers come to order, which is something of a lost art. I don't even know why most places ask how you want it.There's a really nice restaurant.com coupon out there too if you like to save a little money.

Atmosphere was inviting and comfortable .My party and I both ordered what was billed as "Orlando's best burger", it was not. Although cooked perfectly, the burger itself was lacking seasoning and was just a meh burger. Also would expect a steakhouse to have house cut fries, not frozen. Just several missed opportunities to set themselves apart from any other steakhouse burger and fries.
